A Japanese company has announced the successful test drive of a type of aircraft. Sky Drive Inc. made a public appearance on Aug. 25 at Toyota’s test site, one of the largest in Japan and a base for vehicle development, the company said in a statement. .

It was the first public display for a flying car in history. The car, named SD-03, was driven by a person who landed and flew around the venue for about four minutes. According to the company, the SD-03 is the world’s smallest electric vehicle that can take off and land vertically, and it needs two parking spaces of a normal car. It has eight motors to ensure safety in an emergency.

The company hopes to make flying cars a part of normal life. Further test flights will take place in the future under different conditions to ensure that the safety and technology of the vehicle meet industry restoration standards. The success of the flight means the car is likely to be tested off-road Toyota later this year.
The company will continue to develop technology to launch safe and reliable aircraft in 2023, the statement said. However, the price of this aircraft has not been released yet.
